Riccardo Parisi will take part in the collective Exhibition “Symphony of Art” organized and promoted by the Centre of Art and Culture of Sermoneta to be held in the city on the Lepini mountains from September 10 to October 3, 2022.

Art and music great protagonists of “Symphony of art”, exhibition spread through the streets of the Municipality of Sermoneta (in the province of Latina), which will open Saturday, September 10, 2022 and will be open until Monday, October 3, 2022. The collective includes works of painting, sculpture, photography, digital art and, crossing the most evocative places of the village such as the Church of S. Michele Arcangelo, San Lorenzo and the Belvedere, intends to promote a new form of cultural tourism, sustainable and responsible. As elegant musical notes, the works of the thirty artists lie on the pentagram of the city and compose a soft symphony that proceeds with different rhythms and expressions. The initiative is promoted by the Centre of Art and Culture of Sermoneta, with the support of the Municipality of Sermoneta. Sponsors: BSP Pharmaceuticals, Cassa Rurale and Artigiana dell’Agro Pontino.

“The dialogue between art and music has always inspired artists in the assonance of colors with musical notes, in the emotions and suggestions that arise from this synergy – explains the curator Marcella Magaletti – Many have investigated the dialogue and conflict born from the possibility of transmitting emotions in an abstract way, where colors and shapes play with the mind of the viewer and compose the melody of the work”. “We welcome the artists who have decided to participate in “Symphony of art” – declares the Mayor Giuseppina Giovannoli – Illustrious names of the local scene and not only, united by a sensitivity that allows them to express ideas and thoughts beyond verbal language. A further enrichment for Sermoneta, its inhabitants and tourists who will come to visit our beauties”.

THE WORKS IN THE EXHIBITION – The pressing rhythm of the funny pop-flavored works of Luis Cutrone and Enzo Guadagno meets the new dada of Luciano Bonomi, Riccardo Parisi and Carlo Marchetti, mixing with the interesting conceptual proposals of Carla Viparelli and Luca Morziello. The concreteness of the immense sculpture of Francesco Petrone welcomes us at the entrance of the city, rising from the earth to listen to the sounds of the world, the installations of Maria La Mura and Enza Messini transport us in a dreamlike and imaginative dimension. Fabio Masotti expresses himself through the archaic form of the heart, a favorite symbol in his aesthetics, the spiritual center of that essence in which to seek the message. Gianni Gangai and Mauro Magni present two works created specifically for this exhibition, in which the theme takes on an eschatological connotation.

In some works music is one of the fundamental elements of the composition, as in the videos documenting the performances of Lamberto Correggiari, accompanied by the original compositions of David Ryder. In others, instead, the title guides us in the reading of the image, such as the explosion of the “Chest C” by Fernando Falconi that rip the canvases. Bijan Namsetchi, Francesco Paolo Martelli, Nino De Luca, Cinzia Pellin and Angelo Tozzi climb the path of abstraction, experimenting with the most different techniques to express the evocative potential of color; as does Venanzio Manciocchi in the Christian parusìa, dialoguing with the complements of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. The figurative and the allegorical are therefore imposed with vehemence in the works of Kaey, Alessandro Bavari, Daniel Zanca, in the synesthesia of Emilia Isabella, in the ex voto of Biagio Iadarola. In the sculptures of Pasquale Simonetti harmony becomes volume and movement. The symphony ends with photographs by Paolo Romani, whose title suggests listening to the images with the eyes, the works of Mardavig Namsetchi and Sara Aliscioni, which smell of stories and distant countries masterfully told on film.
