Note: The chair, furnishing complement, conceived for the temporary rest of a person, in this case, the artist uses it as a metaphor to indicate the eternal, violent rest, imposed by Titini, who with savage ferocity have carried out countless and horrible murders without sparing women, puerpere, pregnant and children. In the majority of the times abusing, repeatedly raping and in group before the macabre rite of the infoibamento that happened with wise and premeditated cruelty in the smallest details. We can see it in the handcuffs, made of poor and cheap material such as wire, with which they tied the wrists behind the back of people two by two, so that once thrown into the natural cavities of the territory if someone had managed to survive, perhaps using the human shield created by the previous corpses, would not have been able to escape because tied to another person who in turn would have been his burden.

Icon of these barbarians is Norma Cossetto depicted in a photograph, placed at the top right of the back of the chair, who, smiling backwards, seems to denigrate the abuse and violence suffered before his murder caused by his executioners because his only fault was to be the daughter of the Podestà of his country (figure equivalent to the current mayor). In the back of the chair another photograph became famous and published in many magazines and books, depicts one of the groups of exiles, who fortunately escaped this massacre, photographed just landed at the port of Trieste with the ferry “Tuscany”. Among the exiles, in the first row there are grandmother, uncle, aunt and that girl (the artist’s mother), who with that look, represents, the horror seen and just escaped, the mood, the concern, the terror of all those people who have lived and been able to tell of those barbarities suffered and hidden for too long by our State that has been able to invite on its territory and attribute honors to the author of all this… … Josip Broz, better known as Tito. The conceptual work of the artist wants to be a way to awaken the consciences of people to remember this tragic period, the creators of those barbarities and who justified and rewarded them. Obviously the purpose of the artist is not only related to that historical period but is a denunciation of all barbarities, all wars for economic purposes, political or religious that there have been for the sole purpose of witnessing and above all to help so that they do not occur anymore.
